1830 Contestants meeting and Welcoming remarks.

       Wednesday August 2nd

Entry fees include Continental Breakfast each morning and Social with Dinner after racing Wed, Thurs. Lunches can be arranged through Jersey Mikes Subs the previous evening for morning Race day delivery.

 The Race Committee will hold no more than two (2) races each day for the Masters. The Race Committee will hold three (3) races each day for the Women and Juniors. The racing schedule for the Women and Juniors may be adjusted at the discretion of the Race Committee to allow for the maximum number of races to be sailed.

The planned Regatta is a nine (9) race series for the Women and Juniors and a six (6) race series for the Masters.


One or more skippers in each fleet, from the Women’s. Juniors and Masters fleets, not previously qualified through their District, may be entitled to enter the 2017 North American Championship Regatta in accordance with Class Rules.

The two US Youth skippers from the Junior division, having the best scores among those born on or after 1/1/98, willing and able to represent the US, shall be named the US entrants for the 2018 Lightning World Youth Championship Regatta. As a clarification, neither the skipper nor crew can turn 21 years old in the year they sail the 2018 World Youth Championship. Exact dates and location of the championship Regatta will be announced at a later date, but are expected to be held in Athens, Greece during the June, July, August time period.
